The City of Terre Haute annually seeks arts organizations and arts providers to submit proposals for arts grant funding.  Arts Illiana administers the grant program on behalf of the City of Terre Haute.

The grants are designed to support the installation of public art in Terre Haute, to support arts organizations in the provision of programming to reach a broad cross section of Terre Haute, and to  encourage projects that enhance artistic/cultural life and/or economic growth and development in the City of Terre Haute.  Grant funding applies to projects taking place between July 1 and June 30 each year.  DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 14, 2011!

Organizations receiving funding for 2010-2011 include:

Art Spaces, Inc. ($3,000 toward a public sculpture to be located between Walnut and Wabash on Seventh Street

CrossRoads Repertory Theatre ($3,000 toward free community outreach performances of the summer production "1001 Arabian Nights")

Rose-Hulman Performing Arts Series ($2,000 toward the Family Discovery Series performances)

Swope Art Museum ($3,000 toward the Swope Summer Youth Art Program)

Terre Haute Community Band ($2,000 toward marketing of their free Summer Concerts in the Park)

Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra ($3,000 toward th "Di Wu Plays Tchaikovsky”—including a free abbreviated afternoon performance for families)
