Regional Arts Grants
Grants to Organizations Since 1998, Arts Illiana has administered over $50,000 annually in IAC-funded grants to area organizations for arts-related projects. A letter of intent to apply for the grant is due in March and the application deadline is in April. There are three categories of grants: Arts Organization Support: Operating support for non-profit arts organizations and institutions· Arts Project Support: Funding support for arts projects of arts and non-arts non-profit organizations including educational institutions· Cultural Enhancement (Mini Grants): Funding for small arts projects of arts and non-arts non-profit organizations including educational institutions

Regional Block Grants are awarded each year to arts organizations and arts providers on behalf of the Indiana Arts Commission, the Indiana General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. Arts Illiana has administered this grant program since becoming an Indiana Arts Commission Regional Partner in 1998.

Arts Organization Support Level II: Art Spaces, Inc., $12,774; Sheldon Swope Art Museum, $12,376; Terre Haute Symphony Association, $12,508 Arts Organization Support Level I: Community Theatre of Terre Haute, $4,818; Putnam County Playhouse, $5,242; Terre Haute Community Band, $3,820. Arts Project Support: Crossroads Repertory Theatre ("Godspell" project), $2,692; ; Indiana State University Art Gallery (Visiting Artist and Scholar Series), $2,533; Indiana State University Contemporary Music Festival, $2,640; The Maple Center (Healing Through the Arts Workshop) $640. Arts Project Support Mini Grants: Bridgeton Covered Bridge Association (Student Art Show), $500; Putnam County Museum (Interactive Theatre Project) $500; Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Performing and Visual Arts (Hispanic Play & Related Panels), $500; Sullivan Soil & Water Conservation District (Student Art Project--Painted Rain Barrels) $500

NEW FOR 2011! IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A REGIONAL BLOCK GRANT IN THE LAST THREE YEARS, YOU MAY EMAIL YOUR INTENT TO APPLY FOR A GRANT IN 2011. PLEASE INCLUDE: ORGANIZATION NAME; GRANT CATEGORY (APS & MINI APPLICANTS MUST SUPPLY BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT); AND AMOUNT YOU INTEND TO REQUEST. LETTER OF INTENT REQUIRED INFORMATION: 1. Name of Organization 2. Tax Exempt Status 501(C) (3) or the equivalent verification—exempt letter from IRS not needed—you are only required to state that you have the necessary tax exempt status. (If your exempt status is on file with Arts Illiana, this is not necessary.) 3. Grant Application Category (AOSI) (AOSII) (APS) (CEG) (consult grant application guidelines to confirm appropriate category) 4. APS and CEG Applicants: Provide brief description of intended arts project and include dates of project. 5. All applicants: Please include an estimate of grant amount request. (consult grant application guidelines for category caps on amount requests) 6. Signature and Date from Authorized Official of Organization
