John F. Smith, Ceramics

JOHN F. SMITH lives in Noblesville, Indiana where he teaches art in the local school system in addition to coaching wrestling.  John has been with the Gallery since it opened.  His wonderful ceramic work has been very popular with local customers.  His eye for form, shape, and unique use of glazes makes him a very popular and collectible artist.  His works are also utilitarian in that they are consumer safe and as functional as they are attractive.

DAN SOLBERG AND GINA GRAFOS - SCENES

Our first opening of the year will feature new photography and video work by St. Louis based artists Dan Solberg and Gina Grafos.  Although each has distinctive work, this show highlights their shared interest in spaces, and presenting these everyday places in ways that seem unfamiliar and cinematic. The work centers around reexamining, deconstructing, and transforming the familiar into metaphoric and unusual landscapes.

Solberg received his BA in art from DePauw University and his MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. Grafos received her BFA from Columbia College in Chicago and her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Show runs September 10th - 30th

Opening, September 10th 7:00

Artist Talk, September 10th, 7:30

We hope to see you there!
