Professor Joe Heithaus will read from his book, Poison
Sonnets. It is his first book. Poet Mark Jarman writes of the book, "By turns
mordant and elegiac, these poems are anything but predictable," and poet David Wojahn
calls the book an "exceptionally noteworthy debut."

An award-winning poet, Heithaus received the Discovery/The Nation Prize, and
his work has appeared in numerous journals, including Poetry,

Southern Review and Indiana Review.
