Our Mission

The Terre Haute Children's Choir is committed to:

provide a musical enrichment resource to the children of the Wabash Valley and surrounding area.
provide proper voice training to interested children.
demonstrate that children can sing quality literature at a high level of excellence.
provide cultural enhancement to the Wabash Valley and surrounding area.
work with, enhance, and build upon the musical experiences received by chlidren from schools and churches.
perform quality literature and further the choral art for the enjoyment of the singers and the contribution to the public musical life.

Our Choirs

Now accepting children ages 8 and up. No audition necessary.

This is a preparatory choir experience geared toward the child who is still developing the ability to listen and match the pitch, expand their vocal range, and sing with a pure tone. Music learning is accomplished through a variety of fun and creative activities.

Lyric Choir

Ages 9-15. Audition only.

Singers learn basic vocal production, singing in-tune, how to follow along in their music, performance skills and how to blend with other singers to achieve a beautiful unison sound. Music games are used along with the repertoire to teach music skills. Rehearsals are fun!

Treble Choir

Ages 9-15. Audition only.

Singers build on vocal technique and blending. They learn to harmonize through the use of two- and three-part music. Greater sight-singing skills are utilized in this group. Excellent rehearsal discipline and ability to stay focused for long periods of time are necessary for this level. Rehearsals are fast-paced and fun!
