Arts Illiana has served the Wabash Valley since 1980. Arts Illiana was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1980. The mission of Arts Illiana is to promote, support, and enhance the arts and cultural activities of the Wabash Valley. Arts Illiana is the arts council for a region in west-central Indiana including the counties of Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo. Special interest is also given to the Illinois counties of Clark and Edgar.
Arts Illiana provides services to artists, arts providers, and others, and works with community leaders to attract new people to the area, encourage current residents to stay, and strengthen cultural tourism offerings. The organization is governed by a board of directors that represents a cross section of the Wabash Valley including artists and educators as well as business and community leaders.
Operational funds are generated through memberships, sponsorships, and grants. The Indiana Arts Commission is Arts Illiana’s largest financial supporter. Arts Illiana is the place to come to connect with the arts and cultural organizations and events of the Wabash Valley and to browse the gallery and be able to purchase the art of regional artists. The site is open six days a week. We invite you to stop in and see us—become a member. We need your support to offer the best services possible.
